Students can now apply for a summer internship at Bell Helicopter, Textron. Application must be submitted online. If you are in the great State of Texas and are not affiliated with the Lone Star Chapter, now is a good time to join the Chapter. Get involved and make some new leads and friends along the way. To affiliate with the chapter go to your profile and select edit contact information then select edit individual information. In the first section at the bottom it says Chapter, there select Lone Star Chapter. Then at the bottom select save and you are then affiliated with the chapter. Please update and keep up to date Profiles on the main AUVSI section. This allows other members looking for your companies products or services a good point of contact. If you are new to AUVSI and the Lone Star Chapter please send an email to the webmaster so he can add you to the mailing list. Our newsletters are informative and keep you up to date with the Chapter news.

The AUVSI (Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International) Lone Star Chapter invites you to attend our event Monday April 23, 2012 at 6:45 p.m. at the University of Texas of Arlington. The meeting will be held in Nedderman Hall room 100. See the map below for directions and parking. A welcome reception will begin at 6:00 p.m. where you will have the opportunity to network with industry colleagues. At approximately 6:45 pm we’ll spend a little time discussing Chapter administrative details, upcoming events and activities. At 7:00 p.m., we will hear a summary of some of the upcoming AUVSI student competitions and hear directly from some of the local university teams that are competing in these competitions. Please make plans to attend this event and hear from the future leaders of our industry.
You are encouraged to forward this announcement to anyone you think might be interested in attending. You do not need to be an AUVSI member to attend.

Program Summary: AUVSI organizes several student competitions each year. Local teams from within the Lone Star Chapter have competed quite successfully in several of these competitions over the years. At this event we will have the opportunity to hear from some of those student teams as they discuss their plans and approaches to the upcoming competitions. Come see the future of our industry in action!
